The Tumaini University Makumira is an institutional founded in 1947 as Lutheran Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania(ELCT) to train pastors and church leaders. In 1997 it official became Tumaini University Makumira after becoming a university started offering more course not only theology but also education, law, business, science and humanities
